On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu nominated Miss Orire Agbaje, a student in the University of Ibadan’s 400-level Economics Department, as one of the members of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
On Tuesday, President Tinubu formally established the Committee, which now has roughly 70 members, including Miss Agbaje, president of the Nigerian Universities Tax Club.
Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media and Digital Communications, uploaded a photo of President Tinubu and Agbaje on his verified X account to highlight the selection of the unique Committee member.
Beautiful meeting between President Tinubu and Miss Orire Agbaje, a University of Ibadan 400-level economics student who also serves as the president of the Nigerian Universities Tax Club and a member of the recently established Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, was described in the message.
Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, a former Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, serves as the committee’s chair.
