The Department of Geography at the University of Sheffield is pleased to announce that it will be offering a scholarship to an African postgraduate-taught student in cooperation with the University of Sheffield Africa Scholarship Trust.

University of Sheffield Scholarship Entry Requirements

Candidates must the University of Sheffield scholarship criteria below

• You need to have been given the scholarship to enrol in one of the following programs at the University of Sheffield beginning in September 2023.

1. International Development Master’s
2. MSc in International Development and Environmental Change
3. International Development Master’s

• To avoid paying tuition, you must be categorized as an international student.
• To be eligible for this award, you must be self-funded, meaning you cannot accept funding from a research council, the government, a private company, a nonprofit, or another organization of a similar nature.
• You cannot already possess a degree that is a master’s degree or higher.
• You cannot have already attended school abroad.
• Neither the University of Sheffield nor any outside funding sources may combine this scholarship with any other financing grants.
• You must attend classes full-time.
• In order to receive the scholarship, you must complete any condition(s) associated with your offer before the time specified by the Admissions Service.
• In order to receive the scholarship, you must be granted a visa to begin studying at the University in September 2023.
• You must be an African national or have a permanent address in an African nation.
