What Is Nigeria Climate Change Response Programme (NCCRP)?
The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the two chosen pilot states, Kano in the north and Ogun in the south, will implement the Nigeria Climate Change Response Programme (NCCRP) at the territorial level. It is supported by the European Union (EU). The program, intended to help Nigeria gradually attain Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 on “climate action,” has its roots in the EU’s ambition under its Global Public Goods and Challenges Thematic Programmes. Additionally, it advances goals 5 (female equality) and 7 (cheap and clean energy).
