Canada seeks plumbers, welders, and other tradespeople from Nigeria.

Canada and Nigeria

Canada has introduced a new immigration route for Nigerian plumbers, welders, and other tradespeople.
The Canadian government uses the express entry online mechanism to grant qualified workers permanent residence. It serves as the nation’s primary system for processing applications for Canadian immigration of skilled workers.
A faster immigration process for skilled professionals with specialized knowledge in welding, plumbing, and carpentry was announced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on Tuesday.

“The Express Entry (EE) system in Canada is now designed to offer a streamlined and effective pathway for people with expertise in critical fields. “The nation aspires to address the rising demand for talent by giving priority to inviting talented newcomers with trade experience.

More information will be provided in the upcoming weeks. “These category-based selection rounds will continue throughout the year, in addition to general invitation rounds.”

The lack of qualified tradespeople in our nation must be addressed, and helping the construction industry locate and retain the personnel it requires is a part of the solution, according to Marc Miller, Minister of IRCC.

He stated, “This round of category-based selection recognizes the importance of these skilled trades workers and I look forward to welcoming more of these talented people to Canada.”

Professionals and employees can qualify for a Canada immigration permanent residence visa in a variety of ways, according to experts at the Canadian firm First Immigration Law Firm.

The most popular choice is Express Entry, which is Canada’s primary route for skilled employees from lower socioeconomic groups. The Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Canadian Experience Class requirements are your best bet for qualifying under the entrance.
