David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a multi-award-winning musician from Nigeria who has pledged to leave the music business before things go south.
According to letters, Davido stated that his greatest fear in life is when his music career begins to decline in a video that was posted online by his friend and entertainment blogger, Tunde Ednut.
The ‘Unavailable’ singer admitted he is terrified of the point in his career when things start to slow down and fans stop going bonkers everytime he performs.
Davido acknowledged that everyone experiences a time in their career when fans stop loving their songs.
He often makes jokes with friends that he will retire before things go south, but he never wants to reach that point in his professional life.
He said: “The only thing that really makes me nervous is when I go on stage and people start crying and acting crazy.
“But my career will eventually reach a point where it will begin to slow down; everyone experiences this, so that point is what really scares me.
“I want to never arrive there. I often tell my pals that I’m going to retire before I get bitter.
