The Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) announced the Ashinaga Africa Initiative 2023 Scholarship application has opened to support orphaned students in the eligibility countries in Africa.

About the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI)

The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched in 2014. Expanding access to higher education abroad aims to support Sub-Saharan Africa’s growing role in global development. We assist orphaned students who are determined to go back home and effect change by giving them access to full financial aid to attend a university abroad (equivalent to earning an undergraduate degree). Tuition, lodging, travel expenses, and any other fees required are all covered by Ashinaga support.

Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) African Scholarship Requirements

Applicants that have lost one of their parents
Applicants must be aged 23.
Applicant must be physically fit.
possess fluency in either Portuguese/French/English
Applicants with secondary school certificates (technical and vocational degrees are not accepted).
Applicants must choose one among the following eligibility countries: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, CAR, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, DRC, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Kingdom of eSwatini, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania, The Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Zambia , and Zimbabwe.
