According to the Y2023/2024 Harmonized Academic School Calendar that has been authorized by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education, the Lagos State Government has ordered all schools up to the Tertiary Level to begin classes on Monday, September 4, 2023.
In an interview she gave on Monday in her office at the Secretariat in Alausa, the Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, announced this and urged all schools to strictly adhere to the resumed date for the provision of high-quality and long-lasting education in Lagos State.
She also enjoined Proprietors and School Administrators to ensure strict compliance with the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, stressing that there must be full compliance with all safety protocols on school premises for a safe learning environment, as the State Government remains committed to the delivery of quality education.
