Sule Lamido University Approved The Timetable And Guidelines For 2021/2021 Student Union Government Election

The vice-chancellor of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLU) has approved the timetable and guidelines for the conduct of Student Union Government Election for 2021/2022 academic session.

This approval requires you to make all necessary arrangements, on your own, to provide maximum security coverage for the successful conduct of the election.

GUIDELINES

  • To take part in the election, exercise candidates must be duly registered student of the University
  • Contestants for the executive positions such as the offices of the President and Secretary General must be from 300 Level and must possess not less than 3.50 as their CGPA, 3.00 for all other executive posts and 2.50 for membership in the Student Representative Assembly (SRA) and Hall Representatives
  • Level 100, 400, Spill Over 1 and 2 students are not eligible to contest
  • Candidates must get clearance from Security Unit of the University for screening. Any Student with a pending case at the Security Unit of facing disciplinary process will not be allowed to contest in the elections.
  • Defacing of the University Structures with posters will not be entertained
  • Campaign during election is strongly prohibited
  • Voters must present the University identification card before they are allowed to vote
  • Aspirants are strongly warned to avoid coming with supporters to the venue where nomination form is sold.

We advise candidates to strictly adhere to the guidelines laid by the electoral committee. Violating any of the guidelines may lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate.
